How to fix a tripped circuit breaker

Begin by turning off all lights and unplugging all devices, appliances or lamps plugged in to the tripped circuits area.

Next, find your electrical panel. They’re most commonly found in basements, garages, utility rooms, or hallways leading to the garage.

Now you’ll be looking for your tripped breaker, this should be easy if your panel is labeled correctly. If this is not the case, look for the breaker with the switch in the off position or between on and off. If not obvious switch is moved, tap on each gently, and the tripped breaker with easily fall into place.

Finally, make sure the tripped breaker is pushed into the off position and this will reset your breaker. Lastly, push it back to the on position to restore power.
